to pick a field that matches with your interests.
CIS options:
Business Information Systems, Programming, Networking, Webmaster, Multimedia and
Internet, Game, Computer Security, Computer Forensics, Information Systems Transfer,
Computer Science Transfer
Computer Science Transfer was developed through a NSF grant which worked to make
the courses at BCC match with the courses at UMD. Transfer to other places like
Bridgewater also works smoothly.
Students taking Information Systems Transfer need to compare to the requirements
of the college they wish to transfer to before picking languages and electives.
Programming intensive options: Programming, Webmaster, Game Programming
Forensics deals with information on the computer that may be hidden and security
tries to protect computers from outside impact.
Networking sets up the structure of communication between computers.
Business Information Systems gives the chance to explore many aspects of computing.
Multimedia and the Internet explores the graphic side of computing and looks at
many of the applications that can be applied.
Game allows for two tracks: one is more design oriented and one is more development or
programming oriented.
