There are many ways to Open a Command Prompt Window:
Choose Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt. This is the default shortcut to the command prompt.
Create a new shortcut to the c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe file and use that shortcut.
Type cmd in the Start menu search box, and click the Cmd shortcut when it appears, under Programs, at the top of the menu.
Press Windows logo key+R, and type cmd in the Open box.
Browse to the C:\windows\system32 folder and Double-click the Cmd file
While in a command prompt window, type cmd. This opens another command prompt session within the same command prompt window. It uses a different buffer.
While in a command prompt window, type Start cmd. This opens another command prompt session in a new window.
To run a Command Prompt session at a particular folder: browse to the folder using Windows Explorer, hold down the Shift key while you right-click the folderr. On the context menu, choose Open Command Window Here.
