The instructor issues an account to each student to access course website at cisweb.bristolcc.edu

The account remains active for the duration of the semester.
Student accounts are terminated after the course completion.
The accounts are terminated in case of a student withdrawal or dismissal.
All assignments, exams, and quizzes submitted via the website are archived and become part of the instructor's records.

Any data retention is not guaranteed after a period of seven (7) years after the end of the specific term. The records beyond that age are permanently deleted by the instructor.
Students are expected to login into the course website on a regular basis and keep up with the posted Weekly Assignments. All user activity on the web server is logged and is considered an official record.
An unacceptable use of the course website shall include, but is not limited to:
any illegal or unethical act, including violation of any criminal or civil laws or regulations, whether state or federal;
any conduct that violates the college's Policy on Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity and Diversity;
any conduct that violates the college's Code of Student Conduct;
any conduct that unreasonably interferes with the normal operation of the College;
any commercial or profit-making purpose;
sending threatening or harassing messages, whether sexual or otherwise;
sharing sexually explicit or obscene materials;
infringing on any copyright or intellectual property rights;
any use that causes interference with or disruption of network users and resources, including propagation of computer viruses or other harmful programs;
intercepting communications intended for other persons;
defaming any person.
The hosting web server is owned by Bristol Community College Information Technology Services. It is expected that the students will use it to access the course Syllabus, Weekly Schedule, Video and Reading Materials, submit home work assignments, and take exams and quizzes online. The students shall have no expectation of privacy over any communication, including transmission of online assignments and/or exams and quizzes submitted via the web forms. Bristol owns all college accounts, messages, attachments, and addresses it provides to the users. All students are bound by the Bristol Community College Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources Policy.
Each registered student is expected to contact the instructor via official college email during the first week of classes. The instructor replies with instructions to access the course website. There are no additional costs associated with the use of the course website. The student needs only internet connection and a web browser to interact with the site.
The website content is designed to be accessible to users with disabilities. The students who would normally seek accommodations in a traditional, face to face classroom, should contact the Office of Disability Services (ODS) to arrange for appropriate accommodations by calling (508) 678-2811 (Fall River, ext. 2955; Attleboro, ext. 2996; New Bedford, ext. 4011) or by stopping by L109; or by contacting the Office of Disability Services online at Disability services.

It's a student's responsibilty to download and preserve any materials distributed by the course website. The posted materials will remain available through the end of the term. In a case when the course website temporarily goes down for a technical reason, the students are encouraged to continue working on their own computers to complete the work on a timely basis.
